Dear friends of Gidget's Way: I just wanted to let all of you know that thanks to all of you Gidget's Way has been a big success this year. We gave out 250 bears at Christmas and about 25 backpacks. We also gave about 40 jackets with goodie bags on Christmas Day. This year has been so good for Gidget's Way. I started off winning the Channel 10 Overall Leader of 2002, what an honor. Channel 10 has been so good to me. Rick Roberts of KFMB is also one of my big supporters. He has put my story on his web site and he also nominated me for the Volvo for Life Award. They are putting my story on their website also. I have an article in the Chronicles of Philanthropy this month. All of these wonderful things happened because of you believing in me and Gidget's Way. I will be celebrating my 14th birthday for the homeless in January. It will be a great party at Legoland. I'm sure the shelter children will enjoy it. I will continue to work hard and make all of you proud of me and Gidget's Way. Thank you for all your support. |
